Because I didnt notice until he left - He said ok its done bye!! it took him 1 hour and a half. Dont think he used spacers and theres other little problems with the tiles too which I can live with!

An hour and a half...tiled and grouted....nice to see he waited for adhesive to dry......Not !

I think his joints look good so I wouldnt be concerned about that but its obvious he just banged it and probably no cuts either. No matter what the walls were like he should have done better.

so if its only six tiles whats with that joint in the corner, surely hes not going to leave that

I've got his address, landline & mobile - He's also part of County Durham Registered Trader Scheme

He's told me I need to buy new tiles if I want him to put them back on Mike which I dont think if fair since he made the mess anyway but doesnt want to admit it!! The tiles coming in quite big blocks.

It does say -

"Access to a mediation service should there be any disputes between consumers and traders." - May have to go this route if he doesn't agree to pay for the tiles him self.

I wouldnt settle for any less than total satisfaction IMO. He has rushed that job and got good money for it. Had he completed the job in a professional manner then I feel he would be within his right to ask for further payment if you were tiles short. Although if he had measured up before quoting then that would be down to his expense.

personally if that's the best he can do I wouldn't want him back,,you may have to swallow the cost and get a decent tiler to re-do it all.

it was my fault that we were short on tiles and the £100 includes the labour for the wall thats a mess.
