I am tiling a floor for first time on decoupling membrane ( durabase) is it best to lay the decoupling membrane on the whole floor even if I may not tile it all in the same day . Using anhyfix to lay the mat .
Not essential but i would. If you need to lift a tile to adjust the bed, it's far better if the mat is stuck down well!

Yes anhydrite floor . Moisture levels checked with tramex in the room I'm starting in the levels were .8 in some areas where the screed was a bit thicker . Chose to use anhyfix in this room as tile masters said I could if the level was no more than 1 . Fingers crossed !

Sorry didn't answer some of your questions . I ground the floor with a diamond grinder and removed all laitance will Hoover again tomorrow before priming .
Sounds like you'll be good to go... I found anhyfix took 24-48hrs to achieve full bond strength, so the sooner you get it down, the better!
also, there's no real reason to prime but one coat will help with any left over dust.
take care not to over-prime.
tramex is no good for measuring screed moisture. should be hygrometer, carbide bomb or gravimetric test. 0.8 on a tramex moisture encounter means pretty much nothing im afraid.
Hello thanks for your replies . A rep supplied me with the tramex ( adhesive ) not the anhyfix) the screed rep was also going to bring a tramex !! Lol!
they are a good survey tool as they give you an indication of where the screed is wettest but are not accurate enough to give a proper reading and as we are dealing with very low moisture contents the inaccruacies are multiplied. a properly calibrated hygrometer used corredtly or better still a carbide bomb is the right tool.
