bit of an expensive mistake I couldn't believe ive done it. when I rang the client to explain why I wouldn't be there to day to finish her wet room she said she understood my dilemma as she said she did it about 4 weeks ago and not to worry.
I ONLY PUT UNLEADED IN MY VAN £80 QUIDS WORTH.
£210 TO HAVE IT DRAINED OUT.
AND ANOTHER £80 TO REFILL.
THOUGHT I WAS FILLING THE CAR NOT THE VAN🙁

Done it but many years ago, filled up with diesel in a petrol car, new a mechanic who explained get an old fairy bottle to feed the carb with petrol and disconnect the fuel pipe and point into an empty bucket...worked a treat.

Nearly done it loads. Always had petrols and then for a diesel. Luckily pump was always the other side so I'd then click in.

I always wondered if I was dozy enough to do it... Yes I am! On a New Years Eve. Luckily realised after £27 of petrol had gone in to my van. And didn't drive it away.

if you put petrol in a desile its not that bad depends on how much i once put £20 of petrol in by mistake then paid for that then filled the tank up with deisel on top never made a difrence a desile is much more forgiving .but the other way round you are f ck

nope, but I'm pretty sure that at garage where I have my account the nozzles are different so you can't fill up with wrong fuel

I used to put 4 star (I think it was) in a bike designed for unleaded. Used to go like stink.

diesel nozzle is bigger so doesnt fit in petrol car.
once filled diesel mixer with petrol.....company mechanic came and fixed it in 5 mins...

i have done it drove 100 miles over two days. with van driving like a dog it finally gave up the ghost two miles from the house, mechanic changed filters and sorted out problems.
that was a few years ago.
i now have a vw t5 diesel and a vw t25 pertrol. hopefull i dont make the mistake with any of them

What litre is the petrol?

Did it a couple of months back, filled the wife's car with petrol. Wasted £80 in petrol, cost £180 to drain then another £95 to fill with diesel! Won't be making that mistake again!
