ceramic tiles on mineral felt

Does anyone have any advice how to lay ceramic tiles onto a newly laid mineral felt ( concrete sub-base ) balcony? Many thanks, Keith

Hi Keith and welcome.. Sorry but not possible to tile onto that.

put a 50mm sand and cement screed over it

Good point Jay, tanking first, membrane or paint on. Would help if there is a room below

Would tanking still be necessary if the felt is under the screed?

I would for the simple reason
is it waterproof now

would help the screed if it was applied on top of screed .That way screed cant get waterlogged . The extra weight and the chance of freezing and possibly causing screed debonding
