Hi
Can anyone help!..... I am having a log burner installed and using hardibacker in the fireplace chamber and need to know if I need to seal the boards if using a none cement tile adhesive. The adhesive I will be using is vitcas heat resistant tile adhesive and will be putting 20mm brick slips on.

Any help please!

Definitely tile adhesive and will take heat 1000c+ or would I be best using Bal flex 100c directly onto the hardibacker board bearing in mind its in a chamber next to a log burner. Cheers

Just had a read and I don't like the sound of any of their products, PVA says it all! SPF for fixing in a hot area, not dispersion adhesive.
