doing a kitchen splashback at the minute andusing black briwck effect tiles. the bevelled edge ones 200x100. anyway, whats the score with the corners? do you make the cut then use the other part of the tile round the corner so it looks like the tile is wrapping round the corner or do you just set the next wall out as you would normally?

also, can you get shallow enough trim to match the depth of the bevelled edge or do you just leave it as a bare edge?

thanks

if it's brickbond then try and wrap around the corners as best you can,if not then set oiut to avoid small cuts, your cuts should fit into whatever trim size you are using:thumbsup:

you might want to try a mirror image in the corners put the same size cut on the other wall just check the cut to the end of the work top making sure it not to small or you flow it round with the cut off bit

yeah its set out like a brickwall. just worrying ancase i wrap it around the corner and follow along to the window and find that i get a rubbish small cut at the window.

sorry, i dont get what you mean about the trim 😳

if the tiles are 6mm thick and you have 3mm of adhesive then a cut tile should fit into a trim of appropriate size, the tiles in the trim will probably be all cuts therefore the bevel will only be present on the top and bottom edge of the tile:thumbsup:

dont you want to set out from the center of the window first so the cut are even on the window is that not the focas point of the job

i would say the focal point is the cooker and you can still work out decent cuts around the windows

yeah i started at the centre line of the cooker hood and worked out from there.

i'd like to do somethin in that area aswell, just a small feature like in this pic but am kinda worried incase it looks weird with the tiles being set brick effect. whats the general opinion on features in brick effect?
