Hi, gonna quote someone for laying bisazza glass mosaic on the floor of a bathroom. It is to be laid on a plywood floor, to be primed before tiling with flexy adhesive and flexi grout. Just checking really that there is nothing else I need to factor in??

Neil

If you can see through them almost, use white adhesive. And be careful about how thick you put the adhesive down. Use the same principal as you would if you was putting them on a wall

Hi there, the tiles are opaque green so it would be sensible to use white- needs to be flexi adhesive-presumably you can get it in white?
Also the shower room is aquaboard-do I need to use a flexi on this material??

Neil

Yes you can - as for the board, get a good quality sticky water resistant wall adhesive. (if its a wall your talking about).

Job done now, customer happy, it was my first mosaic floor of 11 metres. I would like to know how you prevent the adhesive splurging up between the individual tiles even using a thin bed?
is there a product for cleaning the face of the tiles, there is a little adhesive residue even after cleaning?

Neil

4 to 5mm, quite thin. The other slight problem was nipping them down in size, quite few broke or split-it might be my nippers-bought as mosaic nippers but I suspect they are not. Thankfully I could lay to the nearest tile as the bathroom was going to have skirting board fitted so no tatty edges-but for next time I will buy some more nippers.
