ahhhhhhhhhhhh B&Q Quarry tiles

Just done a floor in B&Q Quarry tiles nightmare tiles might as well been from different parts of the world they were cr_p 3 to 4 mm out from one tile to the next. luckily I noticed this befor I started to lay. Also customer suppied there own adhesive (unibond tiles on floors ) goes of in about 4mins in the bucket !!!! blimey not for the faint hearted. one of those jobs that makes you look at the jobs section in the local paper :mad2: all finished now but definatly made me sweat anyone els had the same problem with these or am I just unlucky.

quarry's do vary in size quite a lot
i usually give them a 10 mm joint to help hide the discrepancy

Ruabon recommend a minimum of 6mm for their 150x150's.

And with Ruabans they are meant to be laid with the pattern on the back all facing the same way.

Following the recent short term cessation of trading at Ruabon, the business has been taken over by private investors who have a desire to re-profile the production activities over the next six months with a view to improving the operating efficiencies.
They have retained key management to assist with this review and funding could be made available if the plan so requires. In the meantime, the good news is that stock levels are such that customer service can be maintained during this time and orders are welcome as usual.
