hello
i want to tile my bathroom floor and i've seen this aquatherm board that can be laid over the timber floor before tiling.i'm thinking of putting underfloor heating as well.
after laying the aquatherm board would i still have to use adhesive for wooden floors to lay the tiles or is there another adhesive i can use ..any advice would be brilliant .
thanx

Flexi adhesive and grout all the way, especially if you are using UFH. And a nice thick bed solid bed trowel to fix the tiles down with. Make sure you double up on the adhesive to allow for the extra thick bed needed for the UFH. Or use a SLC 🙂

For the adhesive, yes. Make sure you mix it nice and thick though, you want the adhesive ribs to sit on top of the wire, completely covering it. If its too runny, the adhesive ribs will start to self level into the wire. And then the tiles will have nothing to bed in to.

For the SLC, use a nice big floor trowel to spread it out 🙂

when you say flexi do you mean 2 part ! cos thats whats recommended when tiling ufh over a timber substrate!!!

If you're overlaying the floor with aquapannel you'e ok using 1-part.
