i have a kitchen floor to do the tiles have already been removed they basically just lifted but the whole floor is covered in thick adhesive whats the best way to remove or can i just remove highest bits then go over it again thanks in advance rab

thanks guys for advice im still quite new to this can you recommend any certain types

I would take a lump hammer and a bolster to the highest/loosest bits. Then hoover the floor off to remove all the grip and dust, prime the floor with an acrylic primer and then SLC. Do you know which brand of adhesives/grouts you will be using?

Good adhesive. In that case, if there is a Tile Giant near you, pop in and give them the size of the room and the depth that you need to bring the floor up and they should be able to sort you out with a suitable SLC

thanks rich appreciated tedesco is the nearest im sure they can help thanks again mate

try getting mapei renovation screed, brilliant stuff, this would be sufficient for a wood floor too, what is the substrate?
