wetroom

A shower is a place in which a person bathes under a spray of typically warm or hot water. Indoors, there is a drain in the floor. Most showers have temperature, spray pressure and adjustable showerhead nozzle. The simplest showers have a swivelling nozzle aiming down on the user, while more complex showers have a showerhead connected to a hose that has a mounting bracket. This allows the showerer to hold the showerhead by hand to spray the water at different parts of their body. A shower can be installed in a small shower stall or bathtub with a plastic shower curtain or door. Showering is common in Western culture due to the efficiency of using it compared with a bathtub. Its use in hygiene is, therefore, common practice.

    Tiling quadrant shower enclosure

Hi, I have done a bit of tiling before but I will be tiling our shower room soon and we have a 800 x 800 quadrant shower. The tiles we like are 400mm wide. We also prefer the look of them lining up and not in a brickwork pattern. How would be best to tile the shower as I have seen the corners...

    Ditra over shower pan

Aloha everyone. I've embarked on a bathroom remodel. I opted to use the hydro block shower pan and system. When I notched my joists and set my presloped pan, I've ended up flush with the existing wood subfloor. As such, now if I put any hardi board on top of subfloor, the transition to the...

    Slope problem in installed shower

Looks like I didn't get the slope correct on this shower bed. Here's water not drained after 10 hours since turning off the shower. How atrocious is my fix going to have to be? Be honest. I can handle it.

    Cracked tile in shower

Hello We recently had our bathroom renovated. We have a walk-in shower, so the tiles are the same in the shower and the bathroom floor. One of the porcelain tiles (large format: 800x800x10mm) has cracked by the walk-in shower. The tile was cut (‘L’ shape cut) to fit the wet room kit. The crack...

    Upstand shower trays

Hi. Just thinking about shower trays. Do shower trays with an integrated upstand require sealing where tiles sit upon the tray? I wondered if this type of tray (if silicone is not required) would be better suited to a bathroom that has a history of silicone going mouldy where the tiles touch...

Tiler required to fix badly installed shower - Canterbury Kent

We paid to have a new shower room installed just over 2 years ago.
