Hi there
I was wondering if someone could help.
I have a new build house which is approx. 5 years old. The WC walls have been finished with ceramic tiles.
The grout was poorly finished - I do not think that the joints were wiped down sufficiently as the grout was proud and all stuck all over...
just looking for some advice as to what has gone wrong. Used a local plumber who came highly recommended, unfortunately the guy I normally use was mega busy and couldn’t fit me in for over 6 months and we couldn’t wait that long.

So bathroom has had the old grout removed to a depth of about 4mm. Now need to start thinking of re-grouting.
Tiles have approx 4mm gap and looking for a white, water resistant, smooth finish grout that is easy for a first timer to use. Need to avoid pin pricking.
What do you guys suggest and why ?

Having some limestone tiles installed, they are very porous. For the floor they are 450x450x20mm and walls are 600x300x15mm.
Currently only the floor area has been laid with part of the entrance to the hall. The wall area has had part laid and grouted. Unfortunately the installer was under...

I have grouted a floor using the BAL Smoke grey however it is not coming out that colour and is very patchy. Some bits are light grey and some are dark. It has also happened to me before. I am using a fresh clean bucket, added water and stirred with my hand with a glove on to get the right...
I thought that sometimes I just have to attack the current wire
for the mixer.
I wanted to know if anyone tried these
or what you think.
the most interesting seems to me collomix (metabo),
in the evening, remove the whisk quickly and bring the mixer home.
I have a client that has an outdoor area tiled with 20mm porcelain (600x600mm) where the grout is breaking out of the joints. It is on a very solid timber platform with (I’m assured) 25mm outdoor grade plywood as the top. It has been grouted with Kerakoll Fugalite Bio which now has come away...
Getting a bathroom regrouted, bit concerned tiler has only taken the top layer of old grout out. Thought at least 3mm of tile sides needed exposing for the new grout to adhere? Please let me know your opinions.
hi all
Any advice or tips on using Mapei Kerapoxy CQ grout please?
I haven’t used it before and I have to use it this week on an external patio area.
Many thanks, Jon
Hey guys,
I am wondering what the best solution would be to fix my parent's shower enclosure. The grout in the base is completely missing and filled with silicone in places. The rest of it is fine!
Any advice would be really appreciated.

Wanted to spruce up the bathroom tiles after grout starting to go mouldy and in parts has sunk with pin holes in it. Tiling is about 15 years old.
Tile spacing is about 3-4 mm so decided to rake out the grout down about 4-5 mm as I could get a grout rake in between
the tiles. What a job that...
My adhesive specs say you can grout after 3 hours although I wont be grouting that soon but if you have no need to grout quickly is there any benefit in not grouting for say 24 -48 hours or will the adhesive dry and gain full strength just as quick with the grout in place
Hello guys, I have a 40 metre slate floor to lay in opus next week.

Hi guys, A customer has just asked if I Could regrout areas of a shower enclosure as it's suspected the water is running behind the grout and through the living room ceiling. There's quite a lot of cracking although tiles are OK. It appears that it's been laid on just plaster board and it's all...
Hi Guys,
So I have not long been in this house and I was recently going to re-seal the shower but I have noticed that they have used grout on the internal corner which has a hairline crack at the very top.

Hi All
We have just paid a small fortune for our bathroom to be refitted and completly tiled all walls. The tiler (which was employed by the plumber that we employed) used Kerakoll grout in 02 (light grey) colour.
Unfortunately the grout has dried extremely patchy over the entire bathroom and...
