Hi first post here (but lots of info from the forums thanks) Just had a tiler round to price tilling kitchen and hall approx 65m2 he suggested ditra bat but very expensive looked at dura but similar price 600x600 11mm porc anhydrite screed (spelling?) is there a cheaper version of the mat CHEERS

Ditra matting and underfloor heating help

Hi everyone, I've gone to see a job where the customer wants to use Schluter Ditra matting along with Warm Up UFH matting. The substrate is 18mm marine ply which is good news. What is the correct method for installing the ditra with the UFH and does ditra matting act as an insulation barrier...

Expansion joints and ditra matting

Me again..... 1) Could someone please point me to any links about expansion joints 2) Also, does anyone have any comments on tiling onto plywood overlaid with ditra matting (floor obviously)? I've done this a few times without any come backs...... Am just interested in any observations. Thanks.

Newbie question - Ditra matting with Marmox and marble.

Marking out on top of Ditra matting

Hi, Im starting an 80 M2 floor in the next week or two, which is to be layed on top of ditra matting, now ive done a few ditra matt jobs in the past n ive always had problems trying to mark lines on the ditra matt when im setting out! has anyone got any tips to get me round this please?????

UFH and Ditra matting

I have worked for a tiling company that installed UFH, the Warmup type, over Ditra matting. However, there seem to be views that doing so is not a good idea....the theory is that the wire heats up and melts the Ditra??.........could anyone enlighten me on this?

Ditra matting - suitable fixative

I am going to use ditra matting to decouple a tarmac base from travertine mosiac floor tiles as the previous job had resulted in hairline cracks in the tiles. Can anybody recommend the right compound to bed the matting onto? I was then going to use SPF to bed the tiles down on to the matt Thanks
