Hello all - recent joiner and past lurker.
Having given up trying to find tilers for my kitchen walls (job too small and tilers not turning up) I am having to do it myself.

Removing old tiles has revealed patchy walls that I will need to skim. The window area looks worse. Please refer to the photos.

My plan for the walls is to
  • remove all loose plaster, sand, etc
  • sbr prime 2x coats (5:1, 3:1)
  • setaflex skim
  • tile
For the window
  • fill with slow expanding foam, cut etc
  • easy fill any gaps
  • tile
Does this make sense? I'd really appreciate any advice/suggestions.

Thank you
