Hi,
I have done a bit of research on various tiling courses and narrowed it down to 2. Golden trowel and uk pro tiling. Does anyone have any experience with these companies or recommendations? I have carried out basic diy tiling on several occasions but would like to try and tile to a high standard with the vision of starting a business. I'm under no illusion that I'll be at the top of my game over night, I'm just looking to build from a solid foundation.
Thanks in advanced.
Dave

U.K. pro Tiling sponsor the forum and their training courses seem well structured during and after involvement.
Plenty of good reviews for them in the relevant forum section.

Near Golden Trowel is a training centre called STC (Specialist Training Courses) that are worth checking out. I trained with them years ago but cant vouch for them these days as the trainers I had have since left.

Hi there, Darren here from UK Pro Tiling Training, just look at our website pictures and 5 star feedback form our centre www.tiling-courses.co.uk not to mention the 22 pages of feedback on this forum and compare it with Goldtrowel and you can make up your own mind as to what your getting for your money.

Gold trowel has about 4 tiling pictures from what i can see on their website of basic tiling in my opinion, full tiles put round a window exercises etc, this is not how it will fall in the real world, if you have a look at our pictures you will see how we tile to extreme circumstances. Choose wisely and do more research and get the right training otherwise chances of success will be slim

Hi
Just to clarify we are not just a plastering training centre, we have been successfully training wall and floor tiling since 2002, we have a training centre with real bathrooms with real walls, and teach tiling for real life domestic work, from quote to finish, as others have said the best thing if possible is to visit centres and speak to the trainers then decide, if anyone would like advice i will be pleased to help.
All the best
