Guys, do you charge extra for Silicon? Find I have to go back after plumber and painter to Silicon up , plus I like to get it just right with my smoothing tools so takes a good couple of hours standard size bathroom including ceiling joint etc. Just wondered what you guys do?

I do allow for a return visit for siliconing when I price up, it's very rare that grout has set sufficiently to do it on the same day. So to answer your question, yes I do charge for it, it takes time and skill to do it correctly so shouldn't be free.

To be honest im not great at siliconing, dodge it if i can.. ends up everywhere on my elbows on the ceiling ..

why not? I don't like Getting grout in internal corners and places it shouldn't be, plus it's no good applying Silicon to surfaces left dusty after grouting. Works for me...

Iv heard of a few tilers in Reading that do this.. is there any reason why i shouldn't ?? I mean any real reason like out of the bible..

I have tried it before and after, I prefer Silicon because after I enter in the rows of tiles and grouting not get where it needs to get.
It goes to tastes.
you understand what I said?

i know of no reason why not. Seems like the easiest way for me. Always happy to learn something new though, if i shouldn't be doing it this way round!
