Just wondered what trowel type you all preferred for spreading SLC. Square/pointed etc. This is what I use and find it easy to use and get a nice finish.

I use one of my old marshalltown plastering trowels, about 18" long and just push and pull the slc, seems to work for me.

Read a few weeks ago about folks using a tile trowel as this brings the air to the surface?

What about a spiked roller, any good?

It depends on a few things, area, depth, water or milk, ufh heating blah blah blah, larger areas then spiked roller if the depth allows it, smaller areas, notched trowel, both sides.
