have a read of this..i know its not common practise to do it this way with the experienced lads & lasses but it will help new comers to setting out........dave..
Measure wall to floor at both ends and in the middle. Write the measurements on masking tape and stick them to the wall at the appropriate places. Work out how many tiles you need and ensure you have cuts at the top and bottom of no less than a fifth of a tile.
Do the same horizontally. Never go to the ceiling, floor or corner on a full tile because if it is out you will probably be left with horrible slivers that appear halfway up or along.
Hope this makes sense. I'm not the best at explaining things in words
Edit - You have to measure each individual cut on the wall or the floor which is out
If you are setting out normal way you always have your cuts running into the corner and ceiling, find centre of wall mark upright level line work tiles of this and see how cuts work to corners and and the same to ceiling, never start with full tile in corner unless you are 100% walls are square.
