Dear Forum,
Would charging £130 for a 4m2 kitchen splashback be a liberty.
Hopefully, this is a good mates rate, including adhesive and grout. Nothing fancy.
It will include the bottom half of a large window, but as they are using 150mm2 ceramic, it wont be to fiddly.
Please reply quickly so i can get it in.
What would be a good price to the general public????

£20 per meter + materials.... I think. Then a small discount for a mate.

Well I'd perhaps go for your price in this case just to get a few extra quid. Although generally that was my pricing structure.

Why don't you say £80 + materials to them and then you can't get stung if you need anything extra for any reason.

Yes. So say it's £80 to fix the tiles and have your time but then any materials are at an additional cost. And you'll go halves on the trade discount or whatever.

Generally this tactic avoids the "oh **** I forgot to price the three door strips in the job" type situation that costs the tiler but the customer would usually expect to pay.

I'll go for £90, and materials are down to them.
Just over £10 an hour.
I've told him it will take a couple of days but thats doing about 4 hours a day after finishing my shift work.

Take your time on it but you should find you wont use up the full 8 hours.
