Hi

I have a floor to overboard, UFH and tile in an old farmhouse. Currently there are t&g floorboards, the odd loose one but on the whole not too bad. The guy has got a Matki tray down.

http://www.matki.co.uk/sites/default/files/p90 Continental 30 Tray.pdf

As you can see from the small diagram at the bottom of page there is a lip that i need to get up to. The height is roughly 30mm from the t&g, prehaps a touch more.

Was thinking, 12mm ply, 6mm insulation, UFH, leveller and tile (8mm) SPF ?

Any suggestions / advice please, thanks.

Steve

hi tomo personally i think that will exceed 30mm,are the boards in good enough nick to over board with 6mm cement boards instead

Hi Kilty, yeah by the time adhesive etc is taken into account its going to be getting slightly above. the only good thing is he wants the last tile to slope slightly so the water runs off, as the screen he has got is too big for the tray so is going to be set on the tiles, opposed to on the edge of the tray as should be. So will be stopping the heating before it gets to the screen area, therefore could be slightly lower nearer the tray. The floor is not too bad, trying to get it as solid as poss really.

dont think he can now, mind you it cost him a couple of grand so you think he would of got the right size to start with.
