Tiling to moisture resistant MDF

Can I tile to moisture resistant MDF if I use a suitable primer?
Normally use Ultra Prime IT FP.

MDF is not a good substrate for tiling on to, moisture resistant or not. It If it does get wet, it will collapse and the tiles will debond. Moisture resistance only slows down the absorption of moisture, not prevent it.

It is your call though. I am sure you will get other responses along similar lines.

I have removed enough bathrooms where Mdf has been used and failed mainly tiled bath panels and boxing in but all had moisture damage to differing levels.As the others say steer clear of Mdf in bathrooms.

Thanks for replies. This is not in a bathroom, it's a dry air conditioned office. Would be alright once adhesive dried?

Ply or backer board of some sort Steve, just not MDF in any location. Just wrong for tiling - we all know it.
