Tiling around a bath with a shower over the bath

I primed my walls and then put the tiles on over a week ago but the adhesive was still not fully dried out by last night, I have ended up taking the tiles off again I now need to replace some of the plasterboard, and would like any tips on wot is going wrong Any Ideas???

:welcome:What type of primer and adhesive did you use? If it is tubbed and the tiles a porcelain or similar in porosity , thats your problem right there.
More details would be good

:welcome: - It could be a number of reasons but at an educated guess I'd go for a high fired clay biscuit for the tile with a tubbed (ready mixed) adhesive and possibly a product that is adhesive and grout combined!
If you can provide the tile type and make of adhesive more advice from others may follow.

They are ceramic tiles and the adhesive is unibond tubbed stuff

Unibond do make a fix and grout adhesive and this may take 'years' to go off.

How thick have you applied it..?

I would hesitate a guess that you have applied it thicker than 3mm , hence taking ages to set...tubbed adhesive must loose it's moisture to dry.. and if too thick then it will takes ages and can fail/crack etc as it dries..

When i was taking the adhesive off the walls i was able to put a scraper down the back of it and lift it off in clumps :lol:. Looks like im gonna have to get the pros in now! Was trying to take the cheap and easy option. Thanks to everyone for their help and advice

As everyone has advised above......wrong adhesive and, possibly, out of spec application.
