I've laid about 3/4 of a 4m sqd floor and dry laid what's left but found tiles now not lining up.. There is a odd slope but now I have to accept tiles not lining up... Any advice or do some floor jus not work out ??
Assuming your spacers are all the same size, then it's either user error or sizey tiles. Some sizey tiles have to be laid by eye with very slight variation on grout joint width.
If it's user (fixer) error, then take it up and see if it sorts it 😀
There could be a number of reasons from :
1) inexperience
2) tile size variation
3) not working either side from a straight central datum line
4) not using a grid system
5) or from another of your post pictures and this one - your using the pegs at 2mm and 3mm widths on the same tile ie twisting it!
Hope that helps.
I'm using g vitrex 3mm spacers... They look pretty square but have noticed some variation. I just opened a new box of tiles no idea if there's a batch number. They're from Spain via an on line supplier
As long as all the batches are the same calibre C2 you should be fine. They are a subsidiary of Pamesa so usually decent unless it is a seconds batch. Try tiling to a straight edge instead of spacers and adjust accordingly as you go?
Are the tiles all the same size? You should be checking alignment a bit more often and using wedges rather than spacers in the places you need a bit of adjustment.
Garbage made in china processed and boxed in spain just like porceanlosa , I first worked for these guys 20years ago and there tiles where perfect then they became really sizey I was invited to the factory in costellano for a week to see the factory manufacturing process and the oonly tile I seen being made was Vines , a soft biscuit tile.
If you put your crosses in it'll help you keep an even spread
If you find one a bit Sizey give it a bit more or less space.. I believe " tweaking" is a term I have used before..
Happy Tweaking
