Hi

I've just tiled a small toilet floor, after grouting, i've discovered small holes & slight cracks in my grout. Can anyone explain how this has happened, and how do i rectify it. 😕

Mucho appreciated

If you get small pin holes in the grout that's generally trapped air breaking through, and I guess enough may cause the grout to crack, or they have walked on the floor causing air to break through and damage the grout, or too much water can cause it to crack.

Will i have to rake and regrout??

Thanks

If it's really bad, repair it, or go over with grout again. You may have not mixed the grout thick enough, that can cause this to happen. I like my grout fairly stiff, and do small amounts at a time. I've had this with Bal before, but never with Ardex.

If you have used porcelain tiles and not a flexi grout then the grout will not stick to the tiles edges thus leaving cracks at this point.......dave...

Think yer right with trapped air and too much water Fekin. It's not too bad, so i'll probably just grout over it.

Thanks for your help & tips guys, much appreciated.
