I swear this is true. Today this guy (I took a pic on my mobile) Put a stack of coving on his car roof.

And then he strapped it on with.... Masking tape. He was running it round door to door and the best bit was the tape kept snapping so he was patching it.

I was in two minds to tell him that the masking tape would snap at the first bend or corner but I just was thinking he wont listen!

I've deleted the number plate and I have no idea how he got on but it just stopped me dead in my tracks...

It was my nieghbour and he brought it to use as guttering. now the masking tape goes over the house and through the windows:smilewinkgrin:

Way back before the days of digital cameras, I worked in a lumber yard. This was about 25 years ago...

We had a customer come in and buy 12 cross ties (don't know if the terminology is the same-these are the huge timbers that the railroads use under the rails)...they measure about 8" X8" X 8 feet, covered in creosote. Customers used to buy them for retaining walls and landscaping projects.

Anyway, I go back out into the yard and this nitwit is trying to load 12 crossties that weigh maybe 100 pounds a piece, 8 feet long, in the trunk of his car. And then he was :incazzato: at me and the guys at the sales counter for not telling him these things wouldn't fit.

Then he got even more :incazzato: at me when I said "All of our other customers have enough sense to come in with a truck if they are going to buy a lot of material."

Ahh, to be 20 years old again and have no filter on your mouth. My boss was kind of mad at me for saying anything.

Dave, can we have a caption competition with that photo please.

I'll start the ball rolling.......

"Hello CJ! Just before you shut the doors and set off, can I quickly make my escape before I get involved in your latest carnage please?"

Told by wickes staff once a bloke overloaded his car so much that his rear tyres burst:yikes:

I need to go look for that famous internet photo of the VW Jetta that was crushed by the load of lumber and concrete at a Home Depot in Waldorf, MD. You guys are going to love this one if I can find it!
