hi there. anybody help me with the best way of cutting a shape aound radiator pipes.what cutter or scribe and nippers etc.

if i can, i like to take the radiator off and drill a hole for the pipes. If i cant do that, i normally cut a piece out with a wet wheel, cut off a pipe sized square, and put the remaining bit back in behind the pipe. Its not a perfect finish but if you cant get the radiator off its not a bad way to do it.

with a wet saw, you can also get covers that snap around the pipe which is quite a good finish, you can get them at b&q , screwfix, most diy places

yes, scribe the u shape, then run the wet saw blade up either side, then you should be able to snap the piece off with a pair of pinchers, reduce the small piece by the diameter of the pipe, then place the cut piece at the back of the pipe after you fit the tile making sure its flush with the tile, then grout the cut lines

when you fill in the hole at the back of the pipes...cut out a new piece from an off cut of tile as the piece you remove will be double the saw blade width smaller than the hole, that way you won't have ugly grout line where they shouldn't be...

The easiest way to get a neat shape around the pipe is to drill a hole where the pipe will sit and then cut to this with the wet saw.
