Powder VS Ready mixed

Never really used Powder adhesives except on floors, what are the advantages and disadvantages if any? Is it just some thing you get used to, is it more exspensive?

i never use tubbed, it's for DIY'ers imo i always use powder!!!the best

I have used tubbed addy and I have had a problem with my daughters kitchen floor where the addy wouldnt dry out it was cheap addy/grout. After being on this forum I have since read it was'nt something I had done wrong, I would definetly use powder from now on and another advantage is it is a lot cheaper.

Cheaper really has nothing to do with using powder over ready mixed, I am always extremely suspicious when I see a tiler with tubbed adhesive on his van, I will never understand why people use the stuff.

When I am looking at pricing a job cheaper is a plus when the said item performs equally or better than what i regualary use

As I said I have only ever used tub adhesive and powder on floors, so yes mate..

the only disadvantage is you have to mix it, thats it!!

doesnt break down in the same way tubbed adhesive does and it sets faster (chemical reaction)...

Thats not too bad then I will give it a go to see how i get on..
