Hi there folks, does anyone know of or done a course at the Plasterclass training centre in Linwood Scotland?, they seem to train on plastering and then follow on with tiling....

Did a search for you mate but your post was the only one that came up. Don't do a course unless you have good feedback or you could be wasting your money

Your obviously from scotland try Nett at Newcastle, some good feed back about the plastering courses

Thanks guys, yeah i think your right if there's no feedback i will stick to one thats well known.
Its really tiling i would like to do and have since seen NETT offer a course which also includes plastering which could be very useful too.
Still contemplating between either the four week route or four days??.
:huh2:

you will learn more on the 4 week obviously but take into consideration the fact you will have 4 weeks b and b to pay for mon-fri = £500 and the travelling up and down if you go home at weekends.I would say do the our day firstly and make sure you like it before committing to 4 weeks...im o

Hi brian, thanks for that comment, i think i will go for the four days and test the water. I have done tiling before but obviously not to a high standard so i think i would suit the job.

if you have the money then its up to you ,maybe do the 4 week course..i do reccomend NETT,very informative,if you need any info ..pm me and i will help you out..where to stay etc, course content.

i know the place has been going for about 3 years or so, as it was their last time i was around paisley.
i know they do courses on weekends and evenings also, so you may be able to fit 4 weeks learning in the space of 2 best to talk to them, plus your got the airport near it so you can fly down and look at it.
nett seem very popular so would also be worth having a look.
some colleges may be able to meet your needs locally and personally i find that way suits me better than a short course.

Hi Scottyboi

I have read the course content for the plastering at the NETT and it takes alot in for 4days.

The Plasterclass (google it) that you are asking about is the same plaster course i was talking about in Johnstone. From their course content on their web site and what my mate says you only really learn how to skim and finish in the 1st week.

So the NETT plaster course sounds a better bet
