New Tile Giant store has got off to a bad start!

I received a mailshot promoting a local TG recently. Shame that they underpayed the postage and it cost me £1.19 to receive it :mad2:.

I'll be advising the local manager what a mistake he has made, if I ever bother to visit the store .

In my opinion he has shown himself to be useless in business and I don't have the confidence to trust him with my customers. I know it is a very small amount of money but it is the lack of attention to detail that has really wound me up.

What an idiot!

this happened to me once before someone sent me a book with a 1st clas sstamp on it,sot me money to get it lol i was miffed at the time saying that it happened when the royal mail changed there system and became more stringent on weights etc isnt it the case that if the weight goes over by just alittle amount the 1.19 is the minimum payment to be charged? if so the guys maybe just not thought it through properly

Not being funny but its hardly his fault, most mail merges, leaflets, flyers, letters ect are sent to the post office direct from the printers. I know this because I used to work for Prontaprint and it was my job to do this.

I'm sure if you pop in or call the manager will sort out the money it cost you to receive it.

Plus the discounts available for TF arms members are awesome. It's not him that will be missing out but you 🙂

The charge was because the envelope was too big, plus £1 admin fee. A schoolboy error and easily avoided if the idiot had used some common sense.

my assistant tells the postman to take it back because she won't pay these charges. she tells him if the company sending it couldn't be bothered to postage it correctly, then it's obviously not worth having. the postman inevitably tries to argue saying we are obliged to receive the item and pay for it, but you don't mess with my assistant. don't know what I'll do without her when she retires

I hear what you are saying Chris. I do use TG but the discounts aren't that much better than I get elsewhere. As I said, it is not so much the money but the lack of attention.

I like my customers to feel special when they visit a store that I have recommended, so I will stick to my favourites.

Then the simple thing to do is not use TG then if you have no trust...

If i got this mailshot and i was asked to pay extra postage costs then i would not have received the it... so without sounding harsh Daz.. who is the idiot for paying it..:lol:
