Please can anyone tell me if a proper mosaic trowel is square notched or v notched? and if one is better than the other.
is it 3 mm notches?
Many thanks

Richard

Can't say I've ever even seen a v notched trowel. Knowing my luck if I were to use one most of my joints would hit the pointy bit of adhesive and I'd be forever scraping them out! 4mm square for me.

Depends on the thickness of the mosaic, the v-notched is for vinyl addy but if it works for thin mosaic then go for it.

Iv got a rubi mosaic trowel and its v notched. Iv used it on all my mosaics last year and gotta say it done its job well but think any trowel would do it...depends on how thick your bed needs to be.

I use a square notch mosaic trowel but to b honest I only use it when doing swimming pools otherwise I tend to use a thicker notch trowel

I use a Bisazza mosaic trowel thats curved notched, 3mm x 3.5mm, making it easy to clean.
