no, never seen that, looks easier than using ply or cheap thin tile to bed out
is it expensive?

Never seen before would give it a try, I think the square's should be smaller than the mosaic's, IMO.

no m8 haven't whats wrong with leaving a gap for the mosaics then batting flush with a grour float, always flush no bother.

Seems like some guys need to buy something all the time to make things easier. Makes me wonder how the Greeks coped all them years ago

Keep it real guys and think outside the box it makes life a lot easier, you can't always buy a tool to help you out, sometimes common sense prevails

Not knocking anyone but c'mon were supposed to be trades ppl not diy'ers

Do you use Spacers or cardboard/matchsticks?

The greeks didnt have a Rubi cutter but i bet you have or something similar.

Agreed about the use for DIYers but i would think a high percentage of the forums members are newcomers to the trade. I can see a use for it for them but as you say Dave "We have our own methods"

I actually stumbled across the item while trying to find a supplier for bulk 2mm spacers.

have bought thin 6 inch b and q tiles .thin
cut the width of 3or 4 mosics .
let them dry , fix them as a soild boarder.
