Purchased a Montolit MiniPiuma 43 PB a few weeks back, was tiling a floor earlier on using 10 mm ceramic tiles and the MiniPiuma wouldn't snap them :mad2:.

I'm not sure if it was the cutter or me not having the guts to really hit down on the cutting arm to snap them, is it necessary to be brutal in order to snap them or do i risk breaking my new toy ?

i think swe is the best guy to ask, thats if he's about...there are quite a few ppl that use them so hopefully you,ll get a reply:thumbsup:

It can cut mosaic. On montolits site it states it can cut 0-20 mm thick tiles ( all types ), just worried that i break the thing, just need some reassurance

Product info : broken link removed

Plenty of rubi guys on here............

Not so much Montolit though, cheers for that Dave. I'll attempt cutting them again, i was coming half way down the tile , i'll try at the end of the cut. Hate it when they make it look so easy.

The masterpiuma will cut your tiles no problem. You only need to use your moving breaker for angled cuts or mosaics. You should be snapping at the end of the score at the guide end.

That was where i was going wrong, using the drop down breaker. Tiles are breaking with ease, cheers all.
