Were do you mix up, and get rid of mucky water, and all the crap, floor tiling creates, do you rince and clean all grout waste out of buckets, adhesive, etc and then re use same buckets, never known so much cleaning, for one its a nightmere, doing the lot

My project is nearly over, but could do with a few tidy up tips.

cheers

Had a couple of plasterers in last weekend. First thing they did was to lay this black (sticky) plastic down. Not only in the work area but outside where they would be mixing. monday morning and the place was spotless. Well impressed

Clean as I go, on larger jobs / big jobs I would have a spare gorilla tub, all tile offcuts etc go into it, any addy or grout should not go down drains, toilets etc because it WILL set in the traps if not flushed completely, best to mix slightly under so as not to have waste, makes sense for you, getting rid of it, your pocket, not wasting mats, and it's greener 😀

I wash buckets out and reuse them, though there only 99p so if theres no wheelie bin space then i leave the bucket for the customer to dispose of at their leisure, I only pay £4 for gorilla tubs which are great, use them for mixing, off cuts etc and replace every so often, I open addy bags carefully cutting across the top of them with the stanley knife, then when empty roll the top over afew turns and use the bag to chuck any waste addy and grout back into. I learnt that tip from a plasterer who did the exact same with the left over plaster he'd mixed up.

A good tip, I forgot about the addy tubs and bags, make ideal transporters for excess
