Im delighted with my mixer, better mixing position, can mix a full bag of flexi no probs. Same with the fein and washboy, lost without them!

Stop mentioning the Fein and the Washboy :'(

Until I started reading this forum, I'd never heard of them - nor for that matter had I heard of £60 diamond wheels for my £80 plasplugs cutter :'(

Now I want one of each - its all money, money, money, spend, spend, spend.

Not forgetting of course needing to buy a damn Sparky Mixer

And now I've joined the plumbing forum, I also find that I need an olive removal tool. Its all too much - I'm already working all the hours possible, I can see I'm gonna have to give up this job and get something that pays more money - just so I can afford the tools to do this job.

Paul

Only kidding of course. But I do, so love good quality tools, that are well made and do the job well, giving me less grief and making them a pleasure to use and when I see stuff that I don't have, I always want to treat myself.

cant stop buying tools at the mo and me mrs is going nuts, when you are at scewfix buying your sparky check out the 20mm deep trowel for a tenner, superb for large formats...

I got this beast from tradetiler..for big floors with ceramics etc......

Rubi 10 mm x 10 mm Giant trowel

Rubi notched trowel, 480mm (19") long

Ideal for tilers who are in a hurry.

Helps to smooth out uneven in floors as you go.

Made from tempered steel plate. Wooden handle

i have the smaller version(11") of that dave but it doesnt have a wooden handle but has the comfortable handle.Got it from trade tiler.

Silverline do a good mixer and it is quite a bit cheaper than the Sparky. Like Daves says, it will mix owt!

Just a thought - but can you use the Sparky one handed?

I notice it has two handles, side by side. Reason I ask, is that I keep thinking about buying one (specially as Screwfix has 10% off until Saturday) But then I think to myself, that this may be a flaw. Currently I use a Metabo drill and paddle, which I can use one handed, while I add powder with the other hand. Some mixers are designed the same way (they look like drills, but have an extra grip at the top) whereas the Sparky has 2 handles. So I wonder if it can be used only with one hand - or always requires 2 hands?

Paul

I am needing to replace my mixer...nothing wrong with it except its 240v. I need 110v. Its a Metabo RWE1100
So if anyone made me a sensible offer i would let it go.
