Metro tiles

[PJ Tiling]

Went to look at a job for a friend of a friend today. He wants me to fit metro tile without any trim, told him that it wouldn't look right (see cut edges on the end etc). But was adament he didn't want any trim. I've done hundreds of metro tile jobs over the last few years but this is the first without trim.........doesn't seem right to me:mad2:

Go for it Tony, mitring is the only way to do metros without trim.

Didn't Ali Gage put some in a bathroom round a window reveal in JOTM?

Theres 1 return edge that you'll see, and the end of the run on each countertop....theres 4 of those. He told me he dislikes mitred edges as 'they look sh**!'

So no trim, no mitred corners. The only way then is to have the cut edge of the tile exposed and that does look bad.

We didn't tile this bathroom but were asked to remove all the trim and mitred all the dado and edges, so if the are any bonding issues - It wasn't me Guv!


We only got involved in the metro tiles because we did this.
