hi there take a deep breath and have a stiff drink!

2nd of all dont let him back in your house, you have already asked him to rectify his work on the 1st day and the further 4 days he was meant to be there sounds like a pile of nonsense to be honest.

i would also ask him for all the money back for the tiles and materials and state why,if he isnt going to play ball advise him you will be taking the matter further and seek full compensation through the court

take photographs of all his work and the state the place was left in.

sounds like hes not coming back, which is nog ood if hes ruined your tiles/

btw did he use tubbed adhesive if so try removing a tile or two they may be salvagable?

I can't believe people would do this. I'm not even trained yet but couldn't sleep at night k owing I had carried out work to what sounds like a very poor standard.
If you cannot do a job well, don't do it!
Like the others have said, font hand over anymore money. If he does come back perhaps there is someone who could be there with u for moral support? U say u live on ur own so I imagine it's daunting tackling him alone

found him through google initially not sure if he uses this site of not he is called Nick fro Halifax and his company is called Yorkshire Tiling Services ???

Give him the opportunity to put things right. If he won't then you are perfectly within your rights to leave him a review on google places (also known as google local). This will show up every time someone else looks at his website.

i have seen is website before , did u only get the 1 quote, if so u should all ways get more , what a cad thats being polite

Gave Tiler the oppertunity to put things right as recommended and he has done. In fairness he took the out of pocket expense, my moans and his lost time very well. He has remained curtious and polite throughout and the finished bathroom looks lovely. So on the flip side of my moan i would like to say a huge thankyou to my Tiler.

That's good to know. It's also good to post the outcome. If someone later searches for something and his company comes up, especially as he has been named on here, it's only fair that the positive about him has also been posted. The work on his website looks very nice. Glad you got it sorted and can enjoy your new tiles.

well thats a good thing isnt it.
he came back and sorted it and thats what a decent professional would do..everbody can have an 'off day' but the main thing is he came back and put it right....good on him and i am really happy for you, so now you can change your user name from UNHAPPY to HAPPY now ;0)

best wishes!!
