If you are going to remove the 18mm chip floor and replace it with WBP ply, what thickness of ply do you need to use if you are going to tile the floor ???

While you have the floor up why not add some more strength in the form of extra noggins and tehn replace floor with 18mm ( or thicker if you can) WBP ply.

I was going to say leave the chipboard down and ply with 12mm as above but i take it you are doing this to remove any extra height on the floor to reduce the step.

If thats not correct id over ply it with 12mm WBP screwed 200mm centers.
