Me neither but seen a buddy do it once! Not nice but easily done! Good idea is to mark it clearly on the wall when lining out.

Helping a mate once, he went out to get addy or something leaving me to get cracking. I thought I could get a wall done before he came back but thought , he hasn't told me where the borders going! Good job I only did a couple of rows and waited!

I'd only fixed 2m2 above where the border should go so only needed to pull of a few 465x300 so not the end of the world. but....

In my defence a little the custy changed there mind on what the wanted so many times i had 20 different lay outs floating round in my vast void that is my head.

I've some pic I'll pop up once jobs finished.

At the house I lived in last the tiler obviously forgot the border coz he cut the border out of the tile above it and re-fit the cut tile + border... Ill see if I can grab a pic sometime!

ive lost count the amount of times ive put boarders on upside down even when i stand there staring at it i still cant see it, when the customer points it out i tell them its a feature, then quickly change it :lol:

tiled one wall of a kitchen splashy in brick bond, started on the cooker hood wall, after equaling cut each side of the hob/cooker hood, proceeded to tile sqare 😳 another feature.

I've done it - well sort of. Missed out polished chrome 10mm strip from a wall - Customer non too pleased - we agreed to carry on and we paid for the chrome trim and bought them a nice bottle of wine / flowers

I'm more careful nowdays and I also mark the wall with big writing things and comments to myself !!

i started to tile a kitchen once, all the tiles were in the garage and the customer had brought a box in for me to start, i said are all the tiles the same and she said yes. So i proceeded to tile where the extractor is and got the 100 tiles on in about an hour. Customer comes in and says thats lovely. so i go and get another box out and its a different colour!!!:mad2: i look at the other 4 boxes and they are all different colours!!!! so i ask the customer if they are the tiles she ordered and she says yes. So i say i thought you said they were all the same to wh ich she replies " i thought you were on about the shape of them" Any how removed the tiles and salvaged the ones i had cut and started again. What a morning it was.

I've forgot the border, only realising on the first wall though, now mark the wall indicating where fetures should be.
