Floor Tiling on the 45 with Border?

Hey Guys, just had some questions regarding tiling on the 45 then finshing it with horizontal tiles around the perimeter. How should i plan this layout when the room is not a square shape? what size border tiles do i cut if the room is not a square shape? i have seen the video posted by Dave on the subject but it only demonstrate's them doing a a perfect square.

how far out of square is it, border width is personal choice but I would keep the diagonals square and lose the error in the border

Just use a half tile around the rooms perimeter.. or the border which ever suits..

It is a different set up with geometrics but normal ceramics it is easy enough.. it just acts as like a picture frame effect..

the border is plain. the room is kinda L shaped tilted 90 degrees. should i snap chalk lines to get square vertical, horizontal lines and a centre point. then from those lines mark out lines for less than half a tile of border everywhere in the room?. but those walls arent square, each border will have to be tailor cut to the walll, its going to chew through tiles wont it as i cant just split th tile in half.? when i have marked out border lines then i can centre everything from border lines that i would have rendered square?

what should i start laying first? border or diagonals?

havent done much diagonal in my time, as ive only been tiling for a couple of years and these days everything is square and rectangular in new places. still feel confident i can do a great job just want to make sure ive got it planned out properly in my mind first and aware of what can go wrong.

mate this is what i specialise in. right just lay your tiles on the 45 (dry) and move em around till you find your centre. make it simple, so all of the centre piece is either full tile or half a tile. then when you have your equal distance from left to right top to bottom (measurement from left to right does not have to be equal to top to bottom) take a measure from feature piece to edge. then do a double border on a brick bond. so if distance is 100mm have a 70mm border then a 30mm border. the sides will never be the same as the top but carry the same process out, normally 2/3-1/3, finish looks stunning. good luck

never heard so much .... mate cut your self some diagonal tiles(triangles) dry fix / move it around till it looks sweet. no one wll be looking at border the feature is the 45 inset the border is there to frame it. ps how the hell are you getting work
