Does tile mister delta board need priming - Tile Advice

Does tile master delta board need priming before tiling on to?

My understanding is that Delta boards use a weird type of cement face (from Tilemaster) which only finally cures in contact with water in adhesive.
In other words, priming it will make a weaker bond than not priming it.
I know it sounds stupid but thats' what I've heard from Tilemaster.

I prime when levelling but for walls I don't bother any more.

Prime everything unless spec says not to and so far never seen anything say not to, always a first though

Instructions doesn’t say primer is needed. Nor do they say not to it

I'm with you unless it says under no circumstances what so ever do not even think about priming it , I prime everything

If the boards doesn't say then follow the instructions from the adhesive manufacturer you are using.
If they give no advice then prime

Same as the others I prime everything unless it says not to, then it’s usually a damp cloth to remove any dust off the boards

I have heard the same of jackoboard as well

Thank you all for the replies. I’m going to prime it with primer g as I’m using Mapei adhesive
