not aqua boards water resistant plaster boards... or is that the same thing? im sure its not lol

There are waterporoof boards that don't allow any water ingress (like Marmox, Schluter Kerdi, Aqua boards to name but a few). Then there are water resistant boards that do allow water ingress but do not lose their strength or structure when the get wet (e.g. Water resistant plasterboard, Hardibacker). Water resistant boards should be tanked.

It's not always the tiling/tilers fault that these showers leak.
90% (a fact in my head), of problems are caused by movement of the bath or shower tray. Most plumbers do not support these properly, or becoming more common fix the bath/shower against a tiled wall, so it's only silicon holding them together.
Every bath or shower i do i always check for movement and they always move.
Easily fixed with battens wedged under bath!

yes mate I know the boards should of been tanked and ive seen the aqua board sample in tile choice (amazing).... wheres that sir ramic?... that bath trim seems to have set ok for now but would a quad trim sit better? im guessing yes but don't actually know.

I removed the panel on the bath and the bath isn't attatched to anything... its legs are fixed the the floor and there is a timber frame on one side of the bath... I was going to try and move the bath over but didn't want to make more problems than im solving lol but there is a lot of movement.

kk theres a trim place closer to me by wolvo but I think its expensive that's why I didn't go there
