Just about to install a devimat in my bathroom before tiling.

I can't figure out the wiring though.... Especially the earth.

I have the centre cores on blue and black going to the thermostat on the wall, and twin and earth coming from a fused spare going to the thermostat. It says in the manual that the outside cable of blue and black is earth... Do I need to 'choc block' these together to the earth going back to the spare?

Seems a bit mad to have to use a choc block.

Do I also need to make a channel for the sensor tube or can my tiler tile over this?

Electrician too late, I'm handy with electrics, I just need someone who has installed one before as I don't think it's right that I need to choc block the earth.

The earth screening does indeed need a connection block to enable you to connect it to the earth of the ring main. I normally use the Earth connection point on the back box.

I'am with Dave on this. It's not a tilers job to give information on electrical connections, especially when this installation comes under the Part P regulations.
We lay electric UFH, install the sensor in the tube and test the wiring for resistance - but leave it with cold tails for connection by a qualified electrician. Job Done.

As Dave and TJ for me, and yes you do need to chase the sensor tube into the floor.
