I get quite a few card payments still. I have it advertised on my website, Facebook, van etc. Still a great piece of kit

That terminal has additional fees every week for the SIM card - £1.50 (£78 per year). £99 for the device but will go up to £199 or you can hire it for £50 deposit + £3 per week. You have a maximum transaction amount per week depending how many transactions you have. Transaction fees are much the same though.

I prefer Worldpay & iZettle. One off payment for device. Pairs with phone so no additional sim charges. It's good if you don't use it very often. You can also take up to £25k per day on the device.

Just tell them the day before that you will be finished so could they make sure they have your payment ready on completion!

I think its a great idea and its what will 100% happen in the future. i believe cash money wont exist we will all just have digits on devices..i would personally think about moving this way in the future because its just another way a customer COULD pay you

I take the hit on it Paul. £27.50 for every £1k if its a credit card. Debit card is only 75p per transaction (Worldpay)

Think of it this way.

If its a cheque, time away from job to put cheque in bank, fuel costs to & from, 5 days to clear & hope it doesn't bounce.

If its BACS, some customers you got to chase for payment even though they say "I'll do it tonight"

whats the best one was looking at the izettle its about £100 notes for the chip and pin reader

Tbh, Worldpay mate. I've got both & that's what I prefer. It's in the bank quicker. Here's the pro's & cons.

Worldpay:

Cards Accepted: Visa, MasterCard & Maestro only.
Amounts accepted: Up to £25k per year capped. Upgrade after.
Amounts per card/transaction: £5k Default (Can be raised after account review).
Cleared: In bank account within 4 banking days.
Charge: 2.95% Credit, 75p Debit
Cost of unit: £59.99 (Introductory offer of £29.99 has finished)

iZettle: (Business)

Cards Accepted: Visa, MasterCard, Maestro, V Pay & Electron (Diners accepted via chip & sign reader)
Amounts accepted: Up to £25k per day! No cap.
Amounts per card/transaction: £10k per card & transaction.
Cleared: In bank account within 7 banking days.
Charge: 2.75% for all supported cards.
Cost of unit:£58.80 (Introductory offer. No date when it will end)

One off payment mate. Well worth it. Even if its only for a few payments a year.

You know the customers that may delay payment & at the end they pull out the cheque book. I just say "Sorry but I only accept cheques for payments higher than £10k or if payment exceeds your card limit. What card would you like to pay with?"

iZettle just says "insert card"

Here's the 2 devices. Both are identical, made by Miura Systems. Just different software

You also get a cool window sticker for the van with Worldpay (Large one above the tax disc on the van)
