Hi All, I'm getting my head around converting our wetroom (vinyl) back into a bathroom (with a tiled floor).
The current sub floor is:
Floorboards then
6 mm ply then
2-3mm of some grey material (slc?)
a thin layer of brown adhesive
some lovely non slip vinyl.
I'm currently thinking to strip down to the floorboards and fit orbry board but I'm not sure what to do with the shower former. My gut tells me to break it up and take it out, put some new floorboards down and orbry board the whole room but my Dad tells me to fill it with slc, put ply in the rest of the bathroom up to the level of the former and then orbry board over the lot.
There is a lot of really good advice on this forum and it's shown me that it's a lot more involved than I expected.
Thanks
