Conservatory floors

A Company in my area of SW London use a foam foundation then ply attached to it. I was speaking to my local shop who recommend 18mm ply then Ardex 7001 wood adhesive. What do you think?

Sounds to much like a floating floor to me, i wouldnt touch it with a barge pole.

OK Dave. The conservatory company in mind places a foam layer on the concrete floor, them 12 mm ply. Is this a floating floor? Is my tiling shop correct in saying, add another 18mm ply screwed at 6" then use Ardex 7001? Cheers, Fred.
