I'm not trying to ridicule you , as a fellow tiler I'm trying to prevent you from getting involved in something that's not going to end well or you put a lot of hard work on the estimate to be told Bob from down the pub going to do it , he's a gardener but tells me he can tile

Cris, all the signs are there. You gotta get out of that house quick. Even if I had no work on my books I would not touch this job with a barge pole. I know you are only trying to help out the customer but you don't know what other issues/problems are lurking behind those tiles.

She probably wouldn't pay to get the floor done properly ,
I had a customer once that I told to supply materials and I got to hear she was counting empty bags because she thought I was using a lot of adhesive and was taking some in my van .
Trouble is was burning them in her incinerator .

Its alright them being like that wanting to specify based on cost, but come to you if it fails

In her defence the local screed contactor told her no need. So I got in touch with manufacturer and they said same, as long as commissioning process is followed to the letter, but they wouldn't discourage me from using one 😏
