Morning everyone

It is Friday and quite sunny today. Another day closer to normality we can only hope..

Morning all.
It's about 40 and real damp out. Forecast is a high of 59 on Sunday then rain snow thru Thurs.
The good thing is the snow dosen't last for more than a day or two.
Having lived in Northern New Jersey most of my life I don't miss the snow. One year we had 13 snowfalls in 13 weeks, between 12"-30" each. The 30" one left me with 6'-7' drifts in the drive and 4' on the roof.
I was shoveling the roof to prevent ice dams.
It got so bad I had to have my neighbor clear out some snow from the drive with his backhoe as I did not have any more room to put the snow. I had piles 8'-10' high.
Where I live now NC, USA when ever there is a forecast of snow the locals get real excited, they can't wait!
It was here that I fell first ever cleaning snow off the cars. It started ad rain then froze then snowed on top, making it real slick.
Since I am retired now every day feels like the weekend. I have a few bathrooms and a laundry room to do for a builder who lives and is building a new house less than a mile up the street from me it will be a nice commute.

Morning all. Still covered in snow around here in Staffordshire. Sunny but bloody freezing still.

Took one of our NHS 'customers' to get his jab yesterday and just checked in on him and his arm aches from the jab and lifting whiskey glasses lol Seems to still have his sense of humour. 😀

Not quite morning now!...
I haven't worked since the week before Christmas now, having asthma during a pandemic that primarilly affects your breathing quickly sorts out your priorities!
Trying to home school our 15 year old son who has ADHD with a 5 minute attention span...
If I had hair, I would have torn it all out already!
Trying to stay sane and not hit the bottle! LOL

Jill had her first jab yesterday, she’s got an aching arm too.

Morning all - the joys of home schooling today. They need to do something to open schools soon. I think they shpuld repeat the years. they've missed too much.

Very sunny here this morning, but chilly. Can't believe this is going on till at least March!! I just want a nice brekkie somewhere lol

Oooh I love an indian. What did you end up going for Dave?

Anyone working outside today? It is a lovely day here

Sounds tough Dave. I found out I had ADHD last year so it's been interesting knowing what's been holding me back all my life. Tiling has got easier in some ways but it's frustrating noticing when I've messed something up due to it - usually impulsive decisions I've not thought through or being hasty and saying to myself 'that's fine that'll do' when I should've spent a bit longer getting it right before moving on to the next thing. And usual waking up and getting motivated problems. I'd say with your son use the carrot not the stick! 5 minutes of concentration is better than 1. Are you in Broughty Ferry? I'm Glasgow.

Welcome to the forum mate! Have a cousin with ADHD and a bunch of other things, opposite defiance disorder is a funny one, tell him don't go climb on that shed roof and he can't stop thinking about climbing on it and only gets it out of his system when he's standing on it.

Weather is minging here again.

Good morning, well we have heavy snow again , meant to last for quite a few hrs , supposed to be up in the dales .. err doubt it 😂
You still rock winter tyres for this time of year mate?

I have them on mate. But a few very steep banks in Teesdale that would require 4x4.
I can imagine it mate.

We have a sportage 4x4 with lockable diff but nothing problematic where we live so we go out find trouble usually (when you're allowed). Nearest is Derbyshire where the police kept telling people off for going so we daren't go lol

Wouldn't fit all the big cutters in it these days mind so no good for tiling.

You'll have to tell customers up them hills to sort their tiling out on a sunny day eh? lol

The days seem to come round so quickly!
