Hi guys, Im new to this forum,
I am a sparky and a member of the Electricians forum, so naturally thought of the Tilers forum first off.
I have some work in my property in Perth I need doing and I would like someone to give me a price labour only please.
I will be as detailed as I can to give you the best idea ( it wont be 'how longs a peice of string, people asking how much for a rewire ? would generally get the same response 🙂 )
I have in total in the property 40 square m of wall I need tiling, 13 square m of floor that needs tiling.
there will need to be ply laid underneath as its suspended floor downstairs, the flooring is chipboard upstairs (not floor boards)
This square meter-age is split over 2 small bathrooms and a small en-suite and the kitchen floor.
the down stairs bathroom the same sink and toilet to be re fitted, we are putting in a new shower cubicle and tray.
in the upstairs bathroom the old suite to be removed and a new suite inc bath to be fitted (same plumbing positions) just new gear retrofitted.
the little en-suite the old toilet and cloakroom sink skipped and new fitted after the tiles go down.
We have laminate flooring that we want laying in the living room, dining room and hallway.
room floor dimensions are
Living room - 5.47 x 3.30
Hallway - 5 x 1.05
Dining room 3.5 x 2.65
in the hall the architrave may need to be trimmed to get a nice finish on the floor and the skirts will want removing and refitting.
most walls in the property seem to be stud, there may need to be a little bit of patching to the walls if it comes away when removing the old tiles.
There will be some patching up afterwards, a couple of skims on chases and just making good old redundant center ceiling light positions where Ive installed downlighters.
I would preferably have someone who can do everything simple patching, tiling , flooring etc, but am also happy to get someone just for the tiles and floor.
If you can get the tiles and flooring cheaper than I can then I am happy for you to supply.
I will be ordering the bathroom suites this week and will be looking to start wiring the place when I come back at the start of jan. I will need around 2 weeks to get the bathrooms electrically ready for tiling so I would be looking for someone to start around the 18th or 20th jan.
This house will be sold when complete and we will be going to auction right after and looking at more developments all within this area, so there will be regular work for the right person going forwards.
If you could also supply me with your protfolio when you submit a price, that would be great.
