Does anyone one use Bal Quickset render for patch work rather than using normal rapid set ? Is it better to trowel on and smooth off.

I tried it once....slumps a bit if used to thick...and not cheap compared to one coat plasters and rapid sets.

Used it a couple of times.

I found it bloody good stuff to use (Not bigging up Bal Dave )........and I'm no spread.

Bath taken out..........shower going in.............No plaster on walls behind bath. So used it on that job.

i love it, and if you put a tight first coat of a couple of mm on then let that go off ive found you can bring it up really thick with no slumping too, but its NOT cheap but the time it saves is amazing!!!!!

Thanks for the replies guys, Topps selling it for £10.99 plus vat for 25kg bag did not think that was to pricey.
