any one know a good laser level

just been looking at the stabila.you get the tripod and pole with it for just over £100.Im quite tempted myself now.Let us know what its like if you get it.cheers mate

I've got the bosch GLL 280 and it's a great bit of kit. Find the tripod a bit annoying though, the spread takes up a lot of space and it's not that easy to adjust. Plus I tend to put hardboard down over the floor and it tends to wobble a bit. Got a pole on order, I reckon that's the way to go, looking forward to breaking that out, hopefully thursday.

Just had a peek at the selection on Trade Tiler, I see a couple of folks have the stabila (and it's the cheapest!), would you say it is good value or is it worth spending a few more quid for the Dewalt or Bosch?

Hi Bri, I have used the Stabila for the last 5/6 years. I find it very accurate, I had the pole with it , but modified a tripod so I can use both, I prefare the tripod.

Hi Bri, the stabila pole converts to a tripod, but I was not keen on it so I made some modifications to an adjustable tripod I had from another laser, one with the wind up capability.

I find this much easier to set a datum line. Hope this helps mate.

I use spectra (they make the Dewalt) The stabila lax50 is great value from Tradetiler too.

I have the stabila lax 50, works fine for me. Pole is simple to put up and adjust and is obviuosly less space intrusive than a tripod. I have had it over 2 yrs now and not changed battery yet!! but then again i dont use it day in day out. I had cheap tripod one at first but found it just too messy to set up. I think it has stayed pretty accurate, but i feel i need to recalibrate it now though.

a mate has a bosch one on the pole (dont know what model) and once yoou clip it on the pole it than has an additional micro adjust wheel. its really nifty and was a bit jealous when i saw it!

But so far no regrets with the stabla.
